Currently I am the CEO of Obvious Architecture. The idea of Obvious Architecture and how to use it was something I developed and have continued to refine over the years. Now I am able to bring others together and utilize its simple but effect techniques.
As an organization we provide consulting services in the areas of strategy, design, development, implementation, operations, technology, and advisory work. Our primary objective is on bridging the gap between business and technology by empowering others.
In my former role as Chief Architect and Executive Security Director, I oversaw all architecture and development across various industries including healthcare, utilities, digital producers, financial, and manufacturing. Data integrations, cloud adoption, implementation of machine learning, and new IoT device incorporations are a few of the common project types that I have executed. This role provides direct mentoring, management, and design of solutions for various national clients. This work allowed me to be selected as one of the Top 10 Most Influential Healthcare Leaders to Watch in 2022 by CXO Outlook Magazine. Additionally, I was responsible for overseeing the security experts and security engagements.
Working directly with clients who are driving change, my teams are responsible to architect, plan, test, and deliver AWS, Azure, Google, and hybrid strategies, as well as, provide solutions for on-premise conditions. Across my career I have deployed, implemented, and co-developed many major commercial products. Along the way, I established and built new business relationships. In my role, business partnerships were created with third parties such as Microsoft, Amazon, Chef, Protegrity, Nuance, and AllScripts.
In my prior years as the Director of Enterprise Architecture for Intermountain Healthcare, I supervised, reviewed, and\or coordinated hundreds of projects ranging from small custom application development to full large-scale enterprise systems. This included contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, and policy creation.
One major accomplishment was the creation and oversight of the TeleHealth Development, Architecture, and Research teams. allowing for the next level of patient/clinician interaction. This technology allows for the delivery of health-related services and information via Unified Communications. This effort has led to several awards in the healthcare industry, including Microsoft’s Innovation in Healthcare award for 2015 and xMatters Best Cloud Migration in 2015. Furthermore, I was responsible to ensure alignment with strategic direction and Information Systems’ assets through standardization, collaborative efforts of oversight. By creating and managing the Enterprise IS Architecture\Enterprise Solution Architecture program, I ensured more than 2000 applications and services across multiple data centers integrated and operated in harmony. This experience has allowed me to speak at national conferences and at other corporations, teaching others how to be successful in large enterprise information systems.
I am experienced leader, architect, director, strategist, developer, system administrator, manager, and project manager who can provide both hands-on and theoretical foundations to design and implement successful solutions for complex problems. I focus on creating high functioning teams of individuals that can deliver quickly and efficiently. As an effective administrator who continues to grow both technically and administratively, I bring positive, proactive, techniques of employee interaction, vendor relations, and organizational processes. By enabling groups of individuals to leverage the best practices of industry, understand modern processes, and recognize the goals of an organization, I help empower exceptional people to effectively deliver the needs of tomorrow.
While I have spent a lot of time in the IT Industry, I also have a long history in helping others help themselves. As the Vice President of Light of the World Ministries, I have a strong desire and longing to bring modern healthcare and social changes to the poor and impoverished people of Sierra Leone. Beyond that I am deeply engaged with bringing health equality issues to light to create change for the better. Through work with organizations such as HIMSS, I have been able to bring new light to international problems.
